Top Ten Books I'd Hand To Someone Who Says They Don't Like To Read

I've had good luck recommending these titles to
people who (eek!) hate to read:

Anything Harry Potter

All the Stephanie Plum mysteries

The Discworld books

Maus and other graphic novels

Lonesome Dove

Shel Silverstein

Hunger Games

Game of Thrones

All the Jodi Picoult books

How about you?
What would you recommend to nonreaders?

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

  2. The Hunger Games was such a popular request from book givers for the World Book Night giveaway, that the group will have to send out second choices instead to many. Nice selection of books!

  11. Hunger Games will not take you any time, Louise. I'd be terribly curious as to whether you will share this one with your son.

  12. A list where 10 is way too few! I agree with lots of these, but I think I'd give The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak as well.

  13. Some great choices here, but not Lonesome Dove! I about killed myself trying to force my way through it. I'd add Stardust or Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman.
