We are headed to Maine soon for one final fling of the summer.
So, I'm hoping to read...well, a book called Maine.

Has anyone read this one?

What are you reading today?!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between!  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme Book Journey loves to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. Book Journey offers a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling BJ how many you visited.

  1. I haven't read any of these - which was your favourite last week?

Yes Storm of Swords is book 3 in the Song of Fire and Ice series (Game of Thrones is book 1 in the series). I didn't enjoy game of thrones especially to begin with, but now that I've got into the series I'm really glad I stuck with it!

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your trip to Maine!

    1. I loved (and hated) book one, but I've put off two until I had enough time to devote to it. (It's a big, big book.)

  2. Enjoy your trip to Maine and I hope the book is good too. The Secret Garden was one of my favourite childhood reads and it was just as good when I re-read it a few years ago.
Have a great week and happy reading :)

    1. So many mysterious things in Secret Garden. One of which is Mary's lack of knowledge about how to make friends.

  3. Nice! Those are new to me, but I do remember reading The Secret Garden years and years ago! Maine seems like it would be a great place to visit! Hope you have fun when you go!

    1. I know that Maine will be cool (upper 70's, they say) compared to current temps here (nineties). That should be refreshing.

    1. Glad to know there are reasons to read Maine apart from the title. :-)

  5. You had a great week. The only ones I have heard of are The Secret Garden and Forgotten Bookmarks. I have read The Secret Garden and thought it was a sweet, old-fashioned story. Have a great trip to Maine and a wonderful reading week.

  7. Forgotten Bookmarks sounds intriguing. That's a unique idea for a book. And I LOVED The Secret Garden when I was young. Enjoy!

  9. I read Maine last year (as an ARC); I enjoyed it so much that I also ordered and read the author's book Commencement.

Hope you enjoy the book...I would love to actually go there, too.

    I'm intrigued by Forgotten Bookmarks.

  10. I've got Maine on my TBR pile, but I've read a review where the reader despised the characters! ACK! SO I'm intrigued to hear what your thoughts on them, because if I don't get a counter review I'm not sure I'll ever want to pick up Maine!
    Here's my Monday post

  16. Maine looks interesting. I just read Hitler's Daughter-probably about 4th grade level. It was surprisingly good!! Now I'm wanting to read an adult book since I've been on a kids' book binge lately it feels like. :)
