  1. Can I have a post that is full of words and wordless?

  2. Fun! I can't keep a journal of any type. It's one of my flaws.

  3. mine would be unreadable sadly.

  4. I've kept a little journal for thirty years. Sections for my list of books read and list of new words.

  5. Not sure mine is readable either. Very random.

  6. I don't but I wish I did. Of course, if I did, it wouldn't look beautiful like yours does. I find buncombe interesting because there's a Buncombe County not too far from us - I always assumed it was someone's last name.

  7. I try to be faithful in entering what I do blog and bookwise daily, but often I forget! Yours will be a good log to look through again in the future.

  8. Buncombe is a funny little word. Hogwash. A very American sort of word, I think.

  9. The funny thing about my journal is that, when I look back, I seem to write down some of the same words year after year. Like they don't really stick in my mind. Or is it that they continue to intrigue me?

  10. Very interesting - my journal (when I manage to have the energy to write in it at the end of the day) looks very different. Thanks for sharing yours!!

  11. I keep saying I want to start an art journal & yet I have not. I think it's absolutely wonderful if anyone can maintain a journal of his/her choice period. Maybe one day I'll get into the groove of doing this.

Thanks for visiting & joining my WW linky party!

  13. I have a collection of lovely bound journals that are mostly empty. I'm a better reader than I am a writer, but I love the look and feel of a journal! Wierd, huh?

  14. I don't but I really aught to - perhaps I will!

  15. Good for you to keep such a wonderful journal. I use note cards, tucked into the book I'm reading. Now that I'm using words on my blog, I definitely remember them better!

  16. I've lost track of the number of journals I've started in January They never make it to December!
I see that you're a book crosser, have you ever bookmooched?

  17. I use Penzu.com as a journal. I find if I type it I can write more easily and it is readable.

  18. I like to read through old journals I kept long ago. I certainly seemed to whine a lot when I was younger.

  21. I used to be an avid journal writer but its been a very long time since I've kept one. My kids are still small and I feel like I have no time to do anything really. I'm sure once they grow up a bit, I will keep a journal again. I miss it.

  24. Ah! I love your little journal. I have a tendency to ignore mine. Do you ever take notes about the books you read too or just new-to-you words?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I take notes. Sometimes. I wish I did better.

  26. What a great idea, and what a beautiful realisation of your curiosity! I like your first comment there too. Can you? I'm pretty sure you did.

  27. O, I do like that, and it's so neat - you have such nice handwriting.

  30. Oh, that's not terribly geeky! I have a little pocket notebook I carry on my walks and write down all the birds I see. That might be a little bit geeky too.
