  2. The heels made me laugh. Kind of like going to Disneyworld and marveling at the women wearing stilettos. And I'm not kidding. I laughed and laughed.

  3. That's hilarious! I can kind of see the sandals if it's a paved path but the heels are just a bad idea but they totally don't go with the capris!

  4. I love seeing incredibly inappropriate footwear. It makes me wonder what makes them tick.

  5. I loved seeing the heels in the last photo. You wonder whether these people meant to go on a hike or just decided on the spur of the moment to pop in. Thanks for visiting my blog. Jo

  7. This made me laugh! Some people just don't take Nature all that seriously I guess, hopefully they got through the day without twisting an ankle or getting stuck somewhere ...

  9. We just went hiking and noticed a gal in heels, too. What the heck? When my husband volunteered at the Chambers Bay US Open Golf Tournament he came home with stories of women who were wearing the stupidest shoes to walk around the super dusty trails.

  12. Some would rather be fashionable than appropriate! Can you imagine the heels stuck in the boardwalks! Fun, thanks for the giggle this morning.

  13. Great subject for today's post. I'm always amazed by the strangely inappropriate clothing and shoes people choose to wear. What happened to common sense? Your photos gave me a big smile.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

  14. Hi,
The heels are not a good idea. Her feet will be
hurting if she walks very far. Have a great day!

  15. I'm a people watcher, I love seeing all the different styles people wear. I'd love to visit Yellowstone some day.

  16. Huh. I've been trying to come up with better-looking travel clothes since we've started traveling in places where Americans are judged as sloppy. I continue to insist, though, on shoes that I can walk in.

  17. I could never even imagine wearing high heels on a hike. Tennies or boots are my choice of footwear!

  18. ha ha - love it! Whenever we go hiking, we are always amazed at the footwear some people wear to hike in - like flip-flops on a step climb! Great pics.

  19. The heels are pretty funny. Reminds me of the time I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and found a woman who had apparently lugged all her makeup down to the bottom with her. (More likely her poor husband was carrying it...)
