I will have to put some of the ones you posted on hold at my library. I love love love picture books. I have an 8 year old girl who I read to all the time. Now she is reading way above her level. My 3 year old girl can't get enough books, and I catch her "reading" them from memory all the time.Kathy (mommysreading)https://www.blogger.com/profile/12167585056483299584noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497062501059248350.post-84300003147580939112010-03-26T12:26:33.217-05:002010-03-26T12:26:33.217-05:00I just read Betsy-Tacy for the first time a couple...I just read Betsy-Tacy for the first time a couple of weeks ago, it was so sweet!Carin Siegfriedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07278383926500248048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497062501059248350.post-90870483341636898162010-03-21T20:44:10.564-05:002010-03-21T20:44:10.564-05:00I love anything to do with Charlie & Lola. Hairy Maclary is a sentimental favourite around here too. Several years ago our local art gallery had a touring exhibition of the illustrations that Jennie Baker made (I think it was Window, maybe it was another of her books, it was a great exhibit). And next month there is a touring live production of The Gruffalo here. I hope to see that too.Louisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13187730620736345378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497062501059248350.post-74010920275968596992010-03-14T23:49:53.753-05:002010-03-14T23:49:53.753-05:00Nice! David Weisner is a great author. I have a ton of picture books I'm hoping to read this week. I just finished Independent Dames by Laurie Halse Anderson. Have you read it? It's perfect for Women's History Month. I also plan on reading a little more of Donalyn Miller's The Book Whisperer. A picture book that I recommend is all of the Mrs. Malarkey books by Judy Finchler and Kevin O'Malley. Have a great week!Vasillyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08463689838763126048noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497062501059248350.post-61982794199341336202010-03-14T10:08:11.296-05:002010-03-14T10:08:11.296-05:00Find a kid you can borrow.
