It gives you time to do a soft launch and maybe prune them a little if they start to seem overambitious after the first week or so! That said, I didn't post any resolutions, but I'm seeing so many great ones on everyone's lists today that I feel like I definitely missed the boat. I don't meditate, but I'm thinking about spending the first five minutes of my morning, with my cup of coffee, gazing out the window before I turn on my computer. Why rush into the most recent news of the day before stilling my mind? I have a pretty good exercise routine (riding my Peloton 5 days a week and strength training 3 days a week), but I'd also like to designate an hour for reading during the day. I used to read after work/before fixing dinner, but I got out of that routine and only read at bedtime. I would also like to read with more intention this year. When I zip through a book, my recall of details diminishes. I may wind up with fewer books read, but hopefully they'll be more memorable. Good luck to you and may you have a wonderfully, playful year!Les in Oregonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15053880852764886416noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7497062501059248350.post-4457498382619383482021-01-12T12:45:10.727-06:002021-01-12T12:45:10.727-06:00These are all lovely goals. Trying to build up my rowing time to help work on strength in my arms and upper body. As to responding out of love to life and 'stuff', I love that too. I'm trying to focus on peace and peaceful thoughts and getting back in the habit of devotional/meditation time. I really desire to do this and know it will be good for me. I've spent too much time in the last few months being upset, angry, and giving in to negative thoughts. I wish you the best and we'll hopefully engender a bit of peace and love in our part of the world.
