What I Posted Last Week Here at Readerbuzz:
The Sunday Salon: Valentine's Day, Mardi Gras, Early Voting, The Great Backyard Bird Count, and More

I began to list 3 Good Things every day during the pandemic. Now I've established a regular routine of writing down my 3 Good Things. Here are 3 Good Things from last week:
Good Thing #1:
Duolingo!
Good Thing #2:
We naturalists are learning about water today.
Good Thing #3:
Our group of friends enjoyed hearing
author George Saunders speak in Houston
this week.

Learning about water should be worthwhile. We need to use it far more wisely.
ReplyDeleteYour list of this week’s books is long and I find them intriguing. I’ve only read a couple of them.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week and enjoy the Read-In!
Lot's of reading this week, that's fantastic! I will be at work on Monday, but I will be squeezing in reading where I can. What did you think of The Haunted Bookshop? Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWell done on accomplishing a 1000 day streak for duolingo! You are really crushing your challenge goals too! Have a wonderful weekend Deb.
ReplyDeleteWell done on Duolingo. That takes persistence. My son is up to 176 days in his German class. I admire you all sticking with it.
ReplyDeleteLove Kate Quinn books. Have you read any of her other novels?
That's a lot of books this week! And diverse. Duolingo -- I keep hearing about this. I should check it out!
ReplyDeleteI'm reading The Vigil right now and would have enjoyed listening to George Saunders speak.
ReplyDeleteDear Deb, you are an inspiration. Lots of books, dear friend 🧡
ReplyDeleteA thousand-day streak is quite an accomplishment. Way to go!
ReplyDeleteI love the idea of The Silent Reading Club! Thanks for sharing the link for the virtual get-together! I signed up! Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the Duolingo streak! The Silent Reading Club sounds like fun, but I'll definitely be asleep long before it starts. Have a great week! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to be able to Drop Everything And Read. Maybe someday, if retirement ever comes.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your Duolingo streak!
Your books always look so interesting. I've been wanting to try Kate Quinn's books. They look good. Hope you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the great streak! You may want to check on the Facebook group. Facebook has been holding posts for approval on many book blogger groups for weeks. Some have inactive admins so the posts stack up :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great week!
You’re doing really well with your book challenges. What language are you studying on Duolingo?
ReplyDeleteCaraval has been on my TBR list for ages. You've entered a lot of challenges this year, I've only read 3 of my Speccy Fiction books so far.
ReplyDeleteThat read in on Monday sounds like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of the SBC Read-In! .
ReplyDeleteFélicitations on your Duolingo streak
Wishing you a great reading week
Thanks for the SBC link. I signed up. I read way more than 20 minutes day, but usually in the evening after work. Somebody cancelled a class Monday morning, so I will be able to join!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your Duolingo!
As a school librarian, I used to love Read Across America! I had a colleague who was an actor and each year he would read aloud to students. They loved it!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite the Duolingo streak! Congrats.
ReplyDeleteSomeday I really need to get round to Caraval; good to see you liked it!
Congrats on the 1,000 day streak!
ReplyDeleteLearning about water is so important! Such a precious resource. Have a wonderful week, Deb!
ReplyDeleteYou've got some interesting books this week... and three genres is impressive. I'll keep an eye out for your thoughts on The Haunted Bookshop. It's been on my list ever since I read Parnassus on Wheels!
ReplyDeleteI'm not reading much and haven't written a review for quite a while. I plan on getting back to it soon but right now my mind is on Kaiyo.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading a lot, but I'm behind on the review writing.
ReplyDeleteHello there! Oh! I was so happy to see you're reading a Kate Quinn book as well! I was right in the middle of The Briar Club when Libby took it back. It's not Libby's fault - it was due and is on a wait list. I just ordered the hard copy from my local library. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like another great week, Deb. The Diamond Eye was an intriguing read. I do enjoy Kate Quinn's books. I will be reading throughout the day, Monday, but won't be checking in. Enjoy your upcoming week.
