    Oh noooooos I forgot to answer the question! It's 5 minutes to midnight here and I'm getting pretty tired, that's why. :\

    I always go on until the page 100 border, so if the art of story telling doesn't make me, my sense of duty does. ;) Still, depending on my mindset, I do want to put back the book on the shelf if the story starts out too complicated (too many names) or with too many elaborations. This doesn't mean a thing though because at other times I won't mind that at all. ;)

    Oooh, pick me, pick me! What makes me keep reading? The promise of something better for characters that feel real and true. What makes me put a book down? One I can't get into because the author is so long-winded in describing everything and refuses to let the story tell itself (sort of like this comment!).
