Hiking in Arkansas: Final Hikes

We recently returned from a week of hiking in Arkansas.

The first day we did two hikes: Hiking in Arkansas: Lost Valley Trail and Hawksbill Crag Trail.

The second day we hiked Pedestal Rock.

We did a hike each day for the next three days.


ALUM COVE TRAIL

Alum Cove Natural Bridge Recreation Area

1.69 mi.

272 ft. elevation gain

1 hr. 8 min.




SEVEN HOLLOW TRAIL
Petit Jean State Park
4.64 mi.
653 ft. elevation gain
3 hr.








CEDAR FALLS TRAIL
Petit Jean State Park
2.32 mi.
404 ft. elevation gain
1 hr. 28 min.






TOTAL: 20.55 mi. hiked over 6 days

  5. Beautiful pictures, Deb! Those rock formations are amazing. I especially like the cave. We saw some similar formations when we hiked in Colorado.

  7. I visited Petit Jean when I lived in Arkansas back in the early 1980's. I haven't bee to the other two places but Alum Cove, especially, seemed so beautiful. When I lived there, the state slogan was "Arkansas is a Natural" and that's so true.
