Happy St. Patrick's Day: Green Book Covers

Carry one of these around today. You'll be safe.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

  1. OOh nice picks! Lots of new to me ones here but I do remember The Giving Tree!

  2. It has always puzzled how the tale of a man chasing non-existent snakes off a small island has been transformed into a worldwide celebration of foolishness, characterized by green beer, drunkenness and generally bad behaviour. I could add mightily to your list of green covers. The paperback of “The Song of the Dodo” springs immediately to mind.

  3. The cover of Heating and Cooling makes me curious about the contents.

  4. Reading mostly on kindle has destroyed my consciousness of book covers. Of course the cover is in the file, but you don’t see it all the time that you are reading. Your collection is great.

  5. The Testaments is a good pick for this week! Will you be watching the TV show version when it comes out?

  6. Nice to see Walden! I only focused on my latest reads, so it didn't show up.
Talking about Walden, I highly recommend Lessons from Walden: Thoreau and the Crisis of American Democracy, by Bob Pepperman Taylor.

  11. Hmm. I thought I remembered The Testaments being blue or red. Oh, I just checked. When I read it it was a blue cover with a green outfit. Funny how covered change over time.

  12. A Very nice mix of genres, Deb. I love The Giving Tree and read it to my classes, by kids and now my grandkids. My copy is well used.
