What is the Sunday Salon? The Sunday Salon is a place to link up and share what we have been doing during the week. It's also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.
We would all love to have you link up and then visit others' blogs. Be sure to leave a comment when you visit others.
Spring is Migration Celebration and Spring Fling and Open House at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. I will be volunteering at all of these for my Texas Master Naturalist group.
My grandkids are off for Spring Break and I will be visiting them all over the next two weeks. We will be reading and doing nature walks and playing board games and spending time together.

What I Posted Last Week Here at Readerbuzz:

I began to list 3 Good Things every day during the pandemic. Now I've established a regular routine of writing down my 3 Good Things. Here are 3 Good Things from last week:

Azaleas? Wow! We are still facing a few weeks of iffy weather before any real spring happens.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your grandkids!
You have a fun few week lined up between your grandkids and your volunteer work. Your azalea is beautiful! And a gaillardia? I am eager to plant some flowers.
ReplyDeleteKudos to you for volunteering to help others appreciate nature.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that you will be visiting your grandchildren over spring break! I hope you make some lovely memories together.
ReplyDeleteSpring is trying really hard to get here. I left off my boots this week, but still have my winter coat on. I should be into a lighter coat next week!
ReplyDeleteWell done on the garden! And have a marvelous time with your grands. I'm a wee bit jealous of your azaleas. We still have some time before that happens here!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the grandkids, Deb! Yes, spring is creeping in. Love your azalea picture. The wildflowers are just beginning to show up - I've seen bluebonnets in 3 places lately. Yay!
ReplyDeleteDear Deb, so nice of you to show others how to appreciate nature!
ReplyDeleteThe garden is in the ground?! How wonderful! I have a bit before I can claim that but I did clean out the herb beds yesterday and will top dress them today :-) It sounds like the week ahead is going to be so full of love and adventures! Enjoy every minute!
ReplyDeleteThat's great that you have started planting!! It's a little too early for us in South Carolina to get the garden in the ground, but I am planning to start seeds this week in seed snails! I've been hearing about starting seeds this way and decided I would give it a go. The only seeds I planted directly in the garden that did amazing were Clemson Okra. It was a sight to see. Enjoy your time with the Grandkids and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOur daffodils have started coming out but it's still a little early to really start planting. I'm contemplating doing a small herb garden this year but we will see. The Haunted Bookshop looks good and I'm looking forward to readin The Astral Library. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the time with your grandkids, and yay, for the garden being done!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the garden picks. I have no green thumb but I appreciate those who do.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty curious about The Astral Library; hope you're enjoying it!
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the grandkids!
I love your garden and azalea.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you will have a busy couple of weeks, Deb. I will be home when my grandkids are off for their break so I'm looking forward to spending time with them. How wonderful that spring has sprung in Texas.
ReplyDeleteWe keep jumping from winter to summer back to winter and now summer tomorrow. Enjoy your time with all the grands!
ReplyDeleteI wonder who is going to have more fun? You or your grandkids! :) Hooray for spring. Our azaleas are beginning to bloom, too. And lots of daffodils!
ReplyDeleteYep, I think we will all have fun!
DeleteI am a Kate Quinn fan, but not a big speculative fiction reader so I am not sure her new novel is for me. I am so happy seeing all the spring buds coming out on the trees!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a great time these next couple of weeks. I want to read the Astral Library. It sounds good.
ReplyDeleteHave so much fun with your grandkids!
ReplyDeleteSpring is just starting to make an appearance here in Northern California, but I'm getting ready!
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful time with your grandchildren. So jealous you flowers are blooming .
ReplyDeleteSome tempting titles there, and I need to be tempted! Have resorted to radiing hubs' online library. Have a great time with the grandkids.
ReplyDeleteI’m sure your grandkids will love their time with you. Enjoy the spring weather.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a happy reading week
I just got The Astral Library on audio and am looking forward to listening. Enjoy spring break with the grandkids!
ReplyDeleteI hope you and the grandkids have a lovely spring break!
ReplyDeleteI just wish Spring didn't come with allergy season. 😀
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I am in Colorado this week, as you know. I have visited 2 LFLs here within a half mile of Susan's house, but alas, I left my Book Crossing labels at home! Booooo me.
ReplyDeleteIt's all good!
DeleteHow are you enjoying The Astral Library? That one is on my TBR list.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready for spring, but I think we've skipped from winter to summer. It's in the mid-seventies here in Virginia, and going up to 80 by midweek. In March.
Whew!
DeleteHave a great Spring Break with the kids. I hope the weather cooperates with you. I’ve been trying to get my hands on The Astral Library for a while now and still haven’t managed. This is a good reminder to check back with the library now to see how that hold list is progressing. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteSpring isn't here, yet. But I'm glad to see that you have it in Texas. Your plans sound great!
ReplyDeleteNice to see spring pics there. I don't want to alarm you with my pic today, lol. We had a glimpse of spring earlier in the week. And now Mr. Winter has returned. I hope you enjoy your spring activities ahead.
ReplyDeleteWow. Spring break already. Where does the time go?
