Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

I think I cried when Beth died too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your #TTT
Nice picks! Can't say that I read any of these. It takes a lot to get me to cry in a book. It's usually due to a character death, aren't they all? I think I block out those books that made me cry as I am struggling to think of one!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Of the books above I have read only “The Grapes of Wrath.” I don’t recall crying, but it left a great impression on me.
ReplyDeleteYes Where the Red Fern Grows was a big cry machine when I was young. And Remains of the Day when I was older. Good list. (Let me know if my comments did not come through for your Salon post. )
ReplyDeleteThe only books I've read here are The Fault in Our Stars and Little Women. I need to read more by Kazuo Ishiguro!

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry was a good read.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
Little Women makes me cry every time.
ReplyDeleteI just finished John Green's nonficiton about tuberculosis and wondered if I'd like his fiction. Would you recommend The Fault in Our Stars? Oh, The Remains of the Day was so sad. Quietly sad.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good Want-to-Cry list, I'm bookmarking it. 🩵
ReplyDeleteGreat list, Deb. Thank you so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how a book can give us a cathartic cry.

I don't like books that make me cry.
ReplyDeleteWhere the Red Fern Grows is al all-time favorite and I always remember my tears everytime I read it.
ReplyDeleteOh yes. Lonesome Dove, Roll of Thunder, and Fault in our Stars were all tear-jerkers (and I love that, too).
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that Lonesome Dove put a tear…or two…in my eye.
ReplyDeleteIt's quite a list. I've read four and yes, they put a tear or two or more in my eyes.
ReplyDeleteActually, that is a great list. I’ve read around half of them, some recently, some not since childhood.

DeleteI'm not a big crier when I read, but Lonesome Dove did tugged at my heartstrings... The Fault in Our Stars is another one that moved me. Put a lump in my throat, but I don't think I cried.
