April Showers

Goodreads tells me I have read 7119 books. Nevertheless, it was very, very difficult to find books I have read and loved that have a title with a rain-related theme. Full disclosure: Almost none of these books have anything at all to do with rain.

Here are some books I have read and loved with a rain-related title :

ADULT BOOKS

Cloud Cuckoo Land by Anthony Doerr

Standing in the Rainbow by Fannie Flagg

Weather by Jenny Offill

The Rain in Portugal by Billy Collins

Thunder and Lightning: Cracking Open the Writer's Craft by Natalie Goldberg

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein

Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell

The Year of the Flood by Margaret Atwood

The Partly Cloudy Patriot by Sarah Vowell

The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson

Isaac's Storm: A Man, a Time, and the Deadliest Hurricane in History by Erik Larson

MIDDLE GRADE READS

A Necklace of Raindrops and Other Stories by Joan Aiken

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz

Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry by Mildred D. Taylor

Storm by Kevin Crossley-Holland

PICTURE BOOKS

Soaked! by Abi Cushman

Flood by Alvaro F. Villa

Rain School by James Humford

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs by Judi Barrett

Rain by Anders Holmer

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
