We were headed to North Texas for a party, so why not stay nearby and enjoy a weekend in Paris, Texas?
Photo spots for those who love Paris,
as well as those who love Texas.
Paris-worthy shops.
Great Mexican food.
Paris Bakery.
Paris Farmers' Market.
Paris is right in the middle of Tornado Alley,
so there are plenty of safety measures.
Then we arrived at
everyone's favorite part of visiting Paris...
the Eiffel Tower...
Appropriately dressed tourists
are taking photos when we arrive.
And there it is.
The tourist oh-so-kindly
offered to take our photo.
And then we were off to what turned out to be
my favorite stop in Paris...
The Paris Public Library!
They were having a book sale---
fill a bag for a buck.
I got a library card.
Lots of programs at this library...
Plus a very cool wall clock.
We will return to Paris, Texas.
Apologies. My Paris in July is spilling over a bit into August.

Have a fabulous Wordless Wednesday. ♥
Very nice! I think we've passed through Paris, but not ever stayed there. I do recognize the 'safety measures' for tornados. Lovely library!
ReplyDeleteI sent the link from your previous post about Paris TX to my friend who lives there, she enjoyed the photos!

ReplyDeleteI well remember a trip to Paris a few years ago - a great little town!
ReplyDeleteWhy not indeed! I enjoyed our visit, thank you!
ReplyDeleteHow fun. I enjoyed your pictures.
ReplyDeleteIs that far from you? I love fill-a-bag-for-a-buck! It looks like a fun town -- I know you had a good time. I would if I was there, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat great fun! I'd love to visit there, too.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could visit Paris
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I'd love to visit those Parisan bakeries! And the Mexican restaurant, just to see what sort of French twist they put on their food. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun Eiffel tower/Texas scale model, complete with Stetson hat. I've also been known to occasionally stop into public libraries of towns we are passing through, and happy that I'm not the only one We've been to a couple of amazing ones, and I loved that wall clock.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great trip!
ReplyDeleteFun trip! That wall clock is amazing. And, of course, the Eiffel tower with the cowboy hat is a hoot!
ReplyDeleteThis looks so fun!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of fun, Deb. We have a Paris, Ontario, but it isn't nearly as much fun as this seems to be.
