Bookish Places I’ve Visited



Anywhere I go---from New York City to Paris to Montana, from work to home---is a bookish place. 

Left to right in a clockwise motion: Super Readers at the library's book fair; Doctor Buks in the library showing children how to take care of books; kids and me at the library; the Library Hotel in NYC; bloggers and me in NYC at Book Expo; our book club at my friend's bookstore, Rae's Reads; installation of a Little Free Library in a part of town with no access to books...later we put in a LFL in a town of 200 people with no library; my take from the library conference; my reading spot at home; Inprint with Salman Rushdie in Houston; my overflowing bookshelves at home.

    I can’t think of many book places I have visited other than book stores, thrift shops, and auctions where I know that books are for sale. I have been to two events where you could meet the author and have books signed.

    This is such a fun topic! Am enjoying what everyone is sharing. One of the things I love to do when we are vacationing wherever is find at least one bookstore and also the local library. I enjoy just taking a look, but I often come home with a book or two. Shocking, right? Ha!

      She's adapted her bookstore into what she calls a book hub. She has some books to give away and some to loan out. She has a new blog here: https://raesreadsbookhub.blog/
