What!? You're not anticipating ANY books!? You have to add This Side of the Grave by Jeaniene Frost for sure! :) This book took the number one spot on my list.

Check out my top 10 I'll post in a few minutes. I'll post the books I want to read most, no matter the year they were published in.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the types of books you like. Personally, I'm looking forward to City of Fallen Angels and Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare, Crossed by Ally Condie, and Forever by Maggie Stiefvater.

ReplyDeleteYou know, I have the same problem. I don't really keep track of new books that are coming out, and it isn't very often that I'm waiting in line for a book to be published. That said, I recently read a few early reviews of The Tiger's Wife by Tea Obreht, and it sounds pretty interesting. I might wait until it comes out and some more people have reviewed it before I get it, but it's definitely on the radar. Other than that, I have no idea what new books are coming out!

ReplyDeleteI couldn't come up with 2011 books, so I chose books that I'm looking forward to reading in 2011 - my favorites in my pile of books just waiting to be read. There are a ton, I feel almost guilty buying new ones :)

ReplyDeletenothing wrong with that...it just gives you more opportunity to dive into older books you've been meaning to read, right? when i lived in the states i tried to keep pretty up-to-speed on new publications, with the result that i built a huge collection of unread books that everyone was raving about. there's something kind of nice about not being able to access new books for a couple of years...it gives me the chance to read books, classics and all, that i've been meaning to read for years. so since you're not anticipating any new publications next year, maybe you can just determine to make it your year of books you've meaning to read.

ReplyDeleteI'm eagerly anticpating The Latte Rebellion, How Lamar's Bad Prank Won a Bubba-Sized trophy (solely for the title alone I would want it), Jazz in Love and Luminous (that cover is so...WOW). But I also want to spend 2011 reading more classics and adult fiction reads
