What is your first book of the year?
I'd also love to see what books you plan to read in 2016.
What books are you hoping to read this year?
My word for 2016: Play.
With a capital letter.
What's your word?
I've been hearing good things about Everything Everything. I want to get to it this year. It's on my endless TBR. 2016 goal is to read from my books - the ones I own now. Happy New Year to you! Hope it's one of joy, peace, and hope. And good weather (right? what's up with the weather here? LOL).
ReplyDeleteOf course I can't wait until 2016 to start this book.
DeleteI plan to eat twelve grapes tonight at midnight. That will assure me of good things in 2016.
DeleteI'm not sure I can make it until midnight though. I may try nine grapes at nine.
DeleteI've heard nothing but good about this book, I hope you enjoy it. Happy New Year to you and your family.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably considered a "children's book" if you include YA.
DeleteThis book is definitely on my TBR. I've heard fantastic things about it. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteNice photo!!
ReplyDeleteENJOY your book!!
I like your visual of the books you are going to read this year!!
Happy New Year - Happy Reading in 2016

My First Book Of The Year
They say that what you do on the first will be what you do all year. I'm in pi's reading. Here's hoping....
DeleteThank you, Elizabeth!

ReplyDeleteLove the book and love the word you chose for 2016.
ReplyDeleteI'm horribly serious by nature...hope this helps me lighten up a bit.
DeleteGreat photo! I have been eyeing Everything Everything...and I LOVE your word. I haven't picked one yet. I need to do that!
ReplyDeleteHere is my FIRST BOOK OF 2016 POST
Finished Everything Everything. Recommend it.
DeleteLove your word for 2016. Instead of a word, I choose the phrase "move forward". I hope 2016 brings you many good memories, books, and laughter. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI like your phrase. We must keep moving forward, mustn't we?
DeleteHappy New Year! I love the effect you chose for your photo. Hope you enjoy your first book of 2016!
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with this book -- hope you love it! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteThis is the first I've seen this book, but something I need to look into. I hope you enjoy it, and have a Happy Reading Year in 2016.
ReplyDeleteSuch a creative pic of you with your first book of the year! Actually your whole post is quite creative so I wasn't surprised to see your word for 2016 is Play. :-)
ReplyDeleteI've heard so many good things about this book. I need to read it soon. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHau'oli Makahiki Hou. I looked up your book; it has an interesting premise. It would be a good mile walk in that child's shoes. I like how your word of 2016 is play. As adults we are always scheduled up and serious about paying bills and getting the children to places or taking care of others. We need more play in our lives. Good for you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your book! I finished my first book about an hour ago (started reading it a few days ago). I've unofficially (no post) chosen "empathy" for my 2016 word.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!
I'm not familiar with book but I love your word :) I'm hoping to get to Three Men in a Boat this year too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your book and love your poster of books you plan. And Play - fantastic word for the year. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteThis one is on my TBR - I have an audiobook of it. :) Enjoy your book!

ReplyDeleteEverything Everything is a book I heard A LOT of positive feedback about in 2015 - I haven't read the book myself, but look forward to hearing your thoughts.
ReplyDeleteOne book, well collection of books, I plan to read in 2016 is The Chronicles of Narnia. It sounds crazy to some that I have yet to read the series, but I intend to rectify that this year and have them sitting on my shelves waiting for me!
