Here are some great books (I've read and enjoyed them all) with ordinal numbers in the titles:
First. A First Time for Everything by Dan Santat.
Second. Second Reading: Notable and Neglected Books Revisited by Jonathan Yardley.
Third. Charmed Thirds by Megan McCafferty.
Fourth. Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.
Fifth. Lions of Fifth Avenue by Fiona Davis.
Sixth. The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert.
Seventh. Seventh Heaven by Alice Hoffman.
Eighth. The Eighth Day by Thornton Wilder.
Ninth. The Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff.
Tenth. Tenth of December by George Saunders.
Have you read any of these? I recommend all of these, especially if you are looking for a book with an ordinal number in the title.
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
What a fun and creative list! 📚 I love how you’ve centered it around ordinal numbers in book titles—it’s such a unique way to curate a reading list. The personal touch of mentioning that you’ve read and enjoyed all of them makes it even more trustworthy and inviting. Definitely a list that will inspire readers to explore some new (or rediscovered) reads! ✨📖
ReplyDeleteOh nice! I am only now realizing I misinterpreted ordinal. I was thinking the number in the title had to coordinate with its place in the series versus titles with first, second, third...etc in the title! Yeah I made this topic harder than it needed to be! Lol.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I have read only “The Sixth Extinction.” It is on my shelf as we speak - along with everything else Elizabeth Kolbert wrote!
ReplyDeleteSo nicely organized! I struggled with this prompt and so took whatever I could find.
ReplyDeleteWell done - all ten in numerical order. The only one of these I've read is The Eagle of the Ninth, which I enjoyed too.
ReplyDeleteNice job finding a range! Most of mine were "first" and "last". XD
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of any of these books but I love how you've done this list 😃
ReplyDeleteThat's a fun challenge!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure I read Seventh Heaven, but have no recollection of what it's about! Nice job on this meme, Deb. :)
ReplyDeleteWow. Well done 👏
ReplyDeleteWow -- all ten of the first ordinal numbers! I'm impressed. I have read The Eagle of the Ninth; it made my list for this week.
ReplyDeleteGreat list. I haven't read any of these but Lions of Fifth Avenue is on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI haven't, but I listed one that's on my TBR. Can you guess which one before checking my post?

ReplyDeleteI have not read any of these. You did great with this week's prompt.
ReplyDeleteYou have them in order too! Great list and I love how bright your icons are. :)
ReplyDeleteNice list, Deb. I haven't read them, but I have heard of many of them. Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've heard of any of these, but the Judy Blume book.
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT for the week: https://readbakecreate.com/first-or-last-book-titles/
You did it!! I knew someone would! Nice work!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, we have three in common. I however, did not like Tenth of December. I get very hot and cold with George Saunders' books. I was cold on this one.
ReplyDeleteI almost went that way, but switched it up and found ten with first in the title. I've read and enjoyed Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing and Lions of Fifth Avenue. Nice list, Deb.
ReplyDeleteI remember loving Seventh Heaven by Alice Hoffman.
ReplyDeleteAh, we have a couple in common. :D Nice to see The Eagle of the Ninth on someone else's list.
ReplyDeleteImpressive that you have read them all. We match on the Fiona Davis read which is nice.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these.
ReplyDeleteI knew you’d have no problem with this prompt :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your #TTT
TALES OF A FOURTH GRADE NOTHING is such a nostalgic one! I read tons of Judy Blume books when I was a kid. They felt so relatable!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Soooooo clever, dahling!
ReplyDeleteI forgot about Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. I loved that book. Other than that I've only read The Lions of Fifth Avenue but I'd like to read the Alice Hoffman.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list! I haven’t read any of these.
ReplyDeleteI have read the First, Fourth, and Fifth books, and loved them all. Dan Santat is one of my fav authors now..
ReplyDeleteWhy are you so good at this topic?! Love that you went in sequence with all the ordinal numbers! I struggled so hard with this topic.
