Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

  1. Great songs. I love older-everyone-knows-the-words-to-the-song-so-sing-along ones you picked.

  2. What a great list! You've got some classics on there that actually really helped me get a sense of the books (since I haven't read many of the ones you included). Nice job! :)

  3. Oh, most definitely with Pollyanna! I love other songs on your list, too, though I haven't read all of your books. I trust you to know the best music choice for them. :)

  4. I'm not familiar with all the books you've mentioned, but I completely agree with the choices of those that I am. Especially Pollyanna - what a great song to choose for it!

    Thanks for stopping by! :)

  5. Awesome! You've got some great ones here! This is one of the first lists I've seen where I actually know most of the songs AND most of the books. I especially like the idea of "Feelin' Groovy" and "Oh, the Places You'll Go." And The Good Earth with "I Will Survive"- ha! Brilliant.

  9. The song title can be a nice summary statement for these books, I think.

  11. Deb, your song collection cracks me up! Your songs really appeal to me and my memories. Kinks, Peter/Paul/Mary, Simon/Garfunkul, Beatles. Love it. I'm with you, most of the lists contain songs and artists I haven't even heard of before. What a fun topic for the Top Ten. Thanks for visiting my blog.
