Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

  3. Hrmmm regarding what you said on my blog about picking any YA book and it dealing with a tough subject, I think that's partially true - it's really about execution.

It's also about how much emphasis they put on an issue, some more than others. Some elicit more emotions than others and that's how I picked my "tough subject" books.

    TFiOS definitely!

  5. People tell me that teens want to read dark, painful books. Is that true? Do all teens want Dark & Painful? Seems like it might be nice to read a little Light & Funny now and then!

  13. I've had We Need to Talk About Kevin on my shelf for YEARS and never seem to make time for it, even though I'm super keen to read it! It's come up in my book club for later this year though so that'll give me reason to finally dust it off. :)

Oh, ditto that for Maus, I got that while doing my teaching degree but never got around to reading it.

  20. I liked most of the ones of these I've read -- with the exception of Of Mice and Men. I WANTED TO THROW IT UNDER A GARBAGE TRUCK. It's true! See all the caps?

I definitely need to get to reading John Green.
