It's Monday! What Are You Reading?

What I Finished Last Week
(Reviews Coming Soon)

Summer is my favorite time of the year to read. It is so wonderful to wake up in the morning and know that you can sit in the same chair all day long and read a whole book. Or two, if you want. My Books Read numbers always go up dramatically in the summer. Here's what I finished last week:

Spiderwick: The Field Guide                      Hold Fast                                   Doug Unplugged

Bad Boy                                       Sorted Books                               Duel With the Devil

What Came in the Mail This Week

The Last Dogs: Dark Waters
(How's this for a story:
All the people in the world have disappeared!
Dogs are the only creatures left!)

What I'm Reading Now

The Vast Unknown                    The Road to Burgundy

And, happily, I have about forty library books awaiting me, too!

                                              What are you reading today?!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between!  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from!

I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme Book Journey loves to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. Book Journey offers a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling BJ how many you visited.

  2. Nice list of books, Deb! I agree with you, I tend to read more in the summer as well :) And now, I'm off until mid-September so I'll be able to indulge. Even when the kids are off from school there's less running :)

Thanks for stopping by my It's Monday... post earlier.

    Happy reading.

  3. I wish I knew you were reading Hold Fast. Several of us were book chatting about it on Twitter this past week. This week I began Blue Sapphire a Sci-Fi Fantasy involving The Ruby, aka Gwen, a time traveler. So far, it's great. Keep me up with your reads and hopefully we will end up with the same book one week. http://bookegg.blogspot.com/2013/06/its-monday-what-are-you-reading-june-17.html

  19. Sadly, mu 40 hour a week job cuts into my reading time, even in the summer! ;) Lucky you to have the whole summer spread before you. Hold Fast looks great. Funnily, I have The Lost Husband on my Kindle as well as the The Lost Wife which you commented on today while visiting me. I have so many books I want to read--makes my head spin!

  30. Hi there Deb, I also have a copy of the Spiderwick field guide, I haven't read through the entire thing yet, but it is cute isn't it? I have the entire series as well in just one massive collection, but haven't had the time to read it yet. So many books, so little time indeed.

  34. Deb,
I've had lots of fun running and ruminating all over your blog! And even better than the fun I had are the book titles and authors I've been madly scribbling into my notepad. Road to Burgundy does sound nice, but I also like the children's and YA titles I see all over.

Thank you for visiting my blog today!
