Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
I absolutely loved Staying Alive. It was an excellent, excellent poetry anthology. I read it at an incredibly difficult time in my life and I found myself repeating the poems like mantras. I would repeat those poems the way that other people would sing to themselves or hum. I was SO surprised to see that on your list because I'd never even seen someone who'd heard of that anthology before. ENJOY! Great list. Here's mine.
ReplyDeleteI'm quite the quirky reader.
ReplyDeleteThe fun thing about TTT is that we get to learn about books we've never heard of! Looks like you have some good ones! Happy reading. :) Thanks for visiting my TTT. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is certainly the appeal for me.
ReplyDeletei recognized Quentin Blake's cover illustration immediately *DAHL PRIDE*
ReplyDeletei haven't read the books on your list (which really, shouldn't come as a surprise because i'm such a slow reader), but i hope you'll read and enjoy them and share some great recommendations soon! =)
