(Very) unexpected snow may cause you to fail to notice important details. Taken 2009, but shared this week after near-record-breaking temperatures swept through Texas.
I actually drove all over town, taking photos and visiting with friends and family, never realizing I was in my pjs and robe, with two different colors of socks.
Since I don't even have a winter coat, it seems pretty likely that I have no appropriate snow shoes either. What would those be? Boots of some sort, perhaps.
My daughter did something similar yesterday when she asked me to take her for celebratory tea. She came down in PJ's, checkerboard Vans with argyle socks. It was an interesting look. I asked her why not the Birkenstocks and she hesitated.
I had a philosophy teacher who used to show up in school with different socks - he used to play in a rock band :) My youngest loves to go out in winter in flip-flops and in summer with jumpers... those kids.
Yikes!!! :):)

DeleteI am the one who worries about having decent clothes on in case the fire alarm goes!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm perhaps a bit less self-conscious.
DeleteWow! Hope you and your family are doing okay.
ReplyDeleteYes, all is well here now.
DeleteNot sure I would want to walk in the snow wearing the shoe's though

ReplyDeleteI completely forgot that I was in my pajamas.
DeleteYou are right. And when I was growing up, my mom wouldn't leave the house without lipstick and a nice outfit. How things have changed.
ReplyDeleteOh wow And the shoes don't have closed toes, either! I could never do that now at my age....
