Eleven Favorite Love Stories in Books
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
I haven't read any of your Top Ten but I'll remember to look!
ReplyDeleteSo many books that I loved in this collage: Olive Again, The Music Shop, 28 Summers. I think I need to search my shelves for a good Valentine's Day read.
ReplyDeleteI read The Pull of the Stars last autumn and adored it! Now to read everything else on your list. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by earlier.
I really loved Evelyn Hugo. Probably my favorite from Taylor Jenkins Reid.
ReplyDeleteFlatshare was fun - I loved the meet cute moment!
ReplyDeleteI still want to read Poldark! And I haven't read anything by Elin Hilderbrand, but I have heard it's worth it. And if you recommend it, I sure will read it!
ReplyDeleteMy week is hectic, no TTT from my side! Just popping in to say hi.
Take care Debbie!

Love the hearts on your header!!!
DeleteIn Five Years was one of my favorites last year. I guess it was sort of a friendship love story.
ReplyDeleteWe love so many of the same love stories! I clicked on the list for people who gag on romances--Wild Parrots of Telegraph Hill--it's still on my TBR. I should move it up!
ReplyDeleteI read the whole Poldark series back in the 1970s when the series was first on PBS and loved them all. Now I am wondering if I should give them a go again or skip them. Your thoughts?
ReplyDeleteI read book one and two recently, and my sister read the entire series. If you are asking for my thoughts, I'd say I'd try book one and see if it holds up for you.
DeleteI must admit to reading my wife's romantic novels and enjoying them
ReplyDeleteI loved The Flatshare and The Switch too! And of course The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
ReplyDeleteRomance novels are not something I normally gravitate to, but I have read and enjoyed three of the love stories you mentioned. My mother was a huge fan of romance novels and always had one going. I used to kid her about it, but now I think they must have been a great comfort to her and I am grateful for that.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed Things You Save in a Fire and I'm looking forward to Olive, Again. Good selection, Deb!
ReplyDeleteIt's now very often that I have the opportunity to pick up a Romance, but a recent one I enjoyed was Love in English by Maria Andreu. I will have to check out a few that you've mentioned now as well.
ReplyDeleteI just finished The Flatshare, adored it! Looking forward to reading more Beth O'Leary. Great list!
ReplyDeleteOooh! All of these sound like interesting reads! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my TTT!

A long time ago I went through a big romance kick reading a lot of historical romance novels. I do still enjoy a romantic story line. I've read three of your recommendations, in particular The Flatshare was a favorite. I need to read her other novels.
ReplyDeleteI actually just finished one, even though it's not technically a romance, very powerful: Hikikomori and the Rental Sister, by Jeff Bauhaus. Highly recommended
ReplyDeleteI never used to read romance, but during the pandemic I've really appreciated them! The new adult contemporary romance novels are fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much of a romance reader but I have The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo lurking around waiting to be read somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you also found ten books for the list despite (like me) not being too much into romance.
ReplyDeleteDid you do your picture as a "collage" and, if yes, what programme do you use. I'm still looking for an easy one that I can do online. I used to have one but that doesn't exist anymore.
Thanks for visiting my TTT earlier.
I use Canva. It's excellent, and I highly recommend it.
DeleteThank you so much. I'll have a look.
DeleteI'm currently reading The Switch and LOVING it!! Great list
ReplyDeleteI only read 28 Summers on your list, and have at least half of the rest on my TBR for a while now :)
ReplyDeleteI lack romance in my reading!
ReplyDeleteSo many great ones here. I loved both O'Leary books, the Katherine Center one, In a Holidaze, and Evelyn Hugo. :)
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't get any better than Rachel Joyce or Katherine Center.
ReplyDeleteOh Poldark, yes ! I love the show (and Aidan Turner ^^) so of course, I turned to the novels and was surprised to find how really good they were. I read The flatshare too, it was really funny, and I have The switch on my kindle. Oops, just thinking I was looking for fun books to read last week-end and forgot about this one !
ReplyDeleteLove the Poldark series but am not familiar with the rest of the books.
ReplyDeleteSo many of these are on my list. I don't read a lot of love stories but I'm glad you enjoyed them so I know which ones to reach for next time I'm in the mood!
ReplyDeleteSo many here that I enjoyed, as well! With the Fire on High, In a Holidaze, In Five Years... I'm anxious to read Poldark and The Flatshare. <3
ReplyDeleteWith the Fire on High looks excellent - I've just put all hers on my wishlist, I was flirting with Clap when you Land but worried about the poetry aspect but I coped with Girl, Woman, Other and just read a book in the second person singular OK so I think I will cope!
