Old Follower :)
I loved The Snow Child. Such a good story.
ReplyDeleteLove your new banner! And I was pleased to see a few on that list that I had read!
ReplyDeleteGreat list of books and great topic! I’ve read around half of them, though I never thought about the snow except in War and Peace.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these but I do have Gentleman in Moscow, Anna Karenina, and Doctor Zhivago on my TBR! I hope you enjoy the ones you haven't read yet :)

ReplyDeleteYou have a nice varied selection here, Deb!
ReplyDeleteLove your list, Deb! Snow Child was very good and it's been a long, long time since I read (or read to someone) several of your children's book list. Brings back nice memories!

Fantastic list! I love Snow Child and The Lion Witch and the Wardrobe and Crime and Punishment may be one of the dreariest coldest books written.
ReplyDeleteGreat collection!
ReplyDeleteAs you knnow, I did something a bit different: https://wordsandpeace.com/2025/12/09/top-ten-books-for-a-2025-christmas-song-tag/
Great list, Deb! I never think to include nonfiction or children's fiction.
ReplyDeleteGreat list, Deb. Makes me cold, though! I've read several of these (A Gentleman in Moscow, Migrations, Anna Karenina, Doctor Zhivago, The Snow Child, Two Old Women, Call of the Wild, A Christmas Carol, The Polar Express, Julie of the Wolves, Stopping by Woods (such a gem!) and The Long Winter. I was given Julie of the Wolves by my godparents who were Canadians. The book was in English and French. One page had English and the opposite page was in French. I didn't speak French, but tried to teach myself when I was all of nine or ten years old! :)
ReplyDeleteSnow Child and Call of the Wild made my list too!
