Most Recent Additions to My Bookshelf

I have a lot of brand-new Kindle books that I got for my birthday---The Collected Stories of Eudora Welty; Sweet Alchemy; Keep Going; The Gene; Eiffel's Tower; String Too Short to Be Saved; Around the World in 50 Years; Democracy Awakening; Prequel; A High Wind in Jamaica; Middlemarch; Penguin Book of Haiku; Barefoot in Paris; Farmer Boy; Little House on the Prairie; Saveur; The Ministry of the Future; Wherever You Go, There You Are; The Devil's Highway; Eat Post Like; Something Fresh; Paris Metro Tales; The Screwtape Letters.

For Christmas, I received The Poetry Pharmacy Returns, Theo of Golden, The Daily Stoic Journal, and The Spell of a Story.

My husband was most proud of finding and getting me this gift. It's an Author Clock, with a new book quote for every minute.

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

  3. The idea of an author’s clock is very appealing. Now you’ll know when it’s five past Hemingway or a quarter to Shakespeare.

  4. I’ve just started rereading Little Town on the Prairie. Enjoy Farmer Boy!

  5. Some of those Kindle books (especially the ones by Laura Ingalls Wilder) seem to me to need to be hard copies because that’s how I read them. But it’s a marvelous list and you’ll have lots of good reading to do.
    Enjoy them!

  6. Is it possible to actually gift someone an ebook, or are you using gift cards? Enjoy Little House!

  7. Nice! The Screwtape Letters are fantastic. And I also have the Eiffel Towere book, but haven't read it yet!
Usually Santa doesn't bring me books, even though that may sound surprising.
So I went with books added to my TBR
