Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

Ooh nice ones! That Alice in Wonderland one is fun! My version just has classic cursive...which in itself is like an ancient language these days! Lol.
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
“Cool” has become such an overworked word. I cringe when I hear it. The English language is rich in adjectives. The covers might be considered creative, beautiful, scintillating, interesting, ornate, stunning, artistic…….but cool?
ReplyDeleteYes. Cool is the only word that hits my exact emotional reaction to these covers.
DeleteLight. Fun. Important but also unimportant.
DeleteYes! The ones I picked, at least, aren't all "cool" in the same way. They're worthy of stopping and looking for a bunch of different reasons. "Cool" is a very useful term because it can stand in for a lot.
DeleteI’ve always loved the typography for Charlotte’s Web.
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I remember that cover (or one very like it) for Charlotte's Web! Such nostalgia. And it's a great design.
ReplyDeleteReally neat!
ReplyDeleteI didn't have enough titles to display, so I did top 5 instead: https://wordsandpeace.com/2026/02/03/top-five-series-i-plan-on-finishing-reading-in-2026/
This is the second list I've seen mention that Moby Dick cover—it's very cool! The one for 1984 is very eye-catching too. Great picks!
ReplyDeleteNice collection! (Nice is even more overused than cool. They are both very useful words. I can’t see any reason to get fancy).
ReplyDeleteI just love type fonts and book covers. Just love them. I have bought many a book by its cover, and usually with pretty good results!
ReplyDeleteYou found some really good classic book covers. That would be a compelling prompt to have us all out there searching for the best classic book covers. The George Simpson one and Great Gatsby are really fantastic.
ReplyDeleteThat Moby Dick one looks fun!
ReplyDeleteTerrific examples, I love the design for Moby Dick and Bicol
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your #TTT
All very good picks for the theme. Some are on my Classics list.
ReplyDeleteI love these covers, especially the Alice in Wonderland and Maigret ones.
ReplyDeleteSorry that anonymous comment was from me - Margaret @ BooksPlease
ReplyDeleteI want to love Alice in Wonderland more than I do because the covers are always amazing. I love the Wizard of Oz cover and you have so many others that are so visually appealing.
ReplyDeleteWhat excellent examples! Six-Word Memoirs is my favorite, but Moby Dick is a close 2nd.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices! I have never seen that cover for Fahrenheit 451.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that Great Expectations cover!
ReplyDeleteThe cover for Charlotte's Web is a classic! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh I love that Gatsby cover!
ReplyDeleteThese covers are perfection!

Dear Deb, I was at a thrift store here in Montreal yesterday and I saw a copy of Charlotte's Web.
ReplyDeleteI love your choices! The Great Gatsby with the Y-ne glass is absolute perfection!
ReplyDeleteFunny, but I interpreted it as Gatsby thinking about the Whys of life. lol
DeleteThese are perfect! I love it. :D
ReplyDeleteReally good. I loved Charlotte's Web. Such a great book.
ReplyDeleteLove your choices, Deb. I didn't think of Charlotte's Web or The Wizard of Oz. Great covers! Thanks for sharing and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Charlotte's Web has such an iconic cover design and use of lettering.
ReplyDeleteMoby Dick and 1984 are my favorites of this collection. TY for sharing
ReplyDeleteBook covers are an art unto themselves and you've given us some excellent examples. I miss those colorful covers now that I read exclusively on Kindle.
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous examples of creative typography, Deb! I love the one for Moby Dick and The Great Gatsby. Bravo for finding these!
ReplyDeleteThat Moby Dick cover is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThese are some fun covers! The MOBY DICK one is great. I have no desire to read the book, but the cover is lovely :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
They are all eye-catching and make you want to know more about the book.
