Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
You have lots of work ahead of you, Deb!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week and a good day. Here is my TTT. https://dmhoisington.wordpress.com/2026/07/14/top-ten-tuesday-35-books-i-want-to-read-by-new-to-me-authors/
ReplyDeleteMy top 3 would be: Meditations, Ivan Denisovich and Kristin Lavransdatter by Sigrid Undset (Nobel Prize winner)! Have fun reading!
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of any of these titles before but I hope you enjoy these authors and their books whenever you get to them :)
ReplyDeleteI love Josephine Tey's mysteries but haven't read this one. I have a thick bio of her on my to-read pile!
ReplyDeleteSome heavy stuff in here! Greatly enjoyed the Solzhenitsyn. I'm still trying to finish a smaller Undset before I tackle Kristen.
ReplyDeleteIndian Summer sounds excellent!
ReplyDeleteA very literary minded selection, thanks for sharing your #TTT
ReplyDeleteInteresting list, Deb. Lots of classic-type authors. Josephine Tey is an author I've always meant to sample, but haven't not as yet. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteWow! What a great list! So many classics. I have a few classics on my TTT list this week too, but not nearly so many. Hope you enjoy these, when you get to them!
ReplyDeleteThese are all new-to-me authors too, I haven't heard of any of them except for Marcus Aurelius. They look very intimidating to me! I hope you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteNice list!
ReplyDeleteFathers and Sons is excellent even if I did read it in 1982 for a college class! I remember it fondly. Also, Josephine Tey is usually good [I've had one disappointment] Daughter of Time is very good by her. I also read One Day in the LIfe of Ivan in college--all of his books are very readable even the Gulag.
ReplyDeleteThese are all new to me as well! ~Carol @ ReadingLadies
ReplyDeleteInteresting list. I hope you enjoy these.
ReplyDeleteThe only book I've read on your list is One Day in the Life of... and it is so well done. Plus it is short. I'm glad I finally read it -- just last year.
ReplyDeleteThese are all new to me authors.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a lot of classics. I hope you enjoy these when you get to them.
ReplyDeleteAll the best for reading some of these. Frankly I find them very challenging looking reading.
ReplyDeleteLots of neat books, Deb! I am sure you will enjoy reading these!
ReplyDeleteOh nice! These are all new to me ones as well! I hope you find some new favorites among them once you get to read them!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Wow, that's quite a few classics! To be honest, some of the titles here are simply too emotionally heavy for me; I tend to concentrate on books that give me hope or lift my spirits. But I have nothing but admiration for people who enjoy reading the heavier classics. The only one here that I have read is the Josephine Tey; it's very good, but my favorite of her books, and the one I usually recommend to people, is The Daughter of Time. I hope you enjoy all of these, whenever you get to them!
ReplyDeleteThese are all new to me. Happy Reading!
