My Century of Books

I am inspired by Lory of Entering the Enchanted Castle (who was inspired by other bloggers, notably Simon of Stuck in a Book) to I see whether I could select one book I’d read for each year of the twentieth century. Lory's goal was "to choose books that had some notable impact on me, leaving a distinct impression on my mind," and I've set that as my goal as well. The books in bold print are the same as Lory's for that year.
