Yes, It's Monday!

It's our favorite day of the week and it's time to see what we are reading.

I finished two fabulous children's books last week that had completely slipped through my (or so I thought) Amazingly Good Book Radar. I haven't written up my reviews yet (of course!) but, until then, I'll just say that both of these books would fully satisfy grownup readers with their thoughtful stories. And (just a little bit more) if you are a fan of Hunger Games, I feel pretty confident that you will love Taronga, a story set in a post-Apocalyptic Australian zoo.

My Ideal Bookshelf

I spent a morning over spring break with My Ideal Bookshelf (art by Jane Mount, edited by Thessaly La Force). This experience of whiling away five lovely hours thinking about the books other people love just serves to remind me that what I really like to do is read about the best books (as opposed to actually reading those best books).
