TLA 2010: A Photoblog Post

TLA 2010

Read among the Texas Wildflowers on the way to San Antonio...

Met some celebrities at the Davidson dinner...

Heard Scott Simon speak at the opening session...

Visited with some amazing children's authors...Eric Kimmel...

...Pat Mora, creator of
El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day), known as Día...

Went to my first TLA committee meeting for El día de los niños...

Won a medal in the librarian fun run...

Lots of dancing...

Can't be in San Antonio without going to the Alamo and taking the Riverwalk...

Had an opportunity to read with a new friend...

Ate some incredible bbq, though, fortunately, not on Bike Night...

Found a great new chicken puppet...

And brought home a few books for my library!

  2. Deb, I'm a new follower even though I've seen your name around for years - on yahoogroups a long time ago I think. In any case, I'm Kay and I'm in Austin. I had a bunch of friends who were going to TLA. Glad you were "deprived" of too much while there! LOL

Wow! What a stack of books! The wildflowers are beautiful this year aren't they? All that rain in January and February and the lakes actually have water in them this year!

  8. Yes, that's a LOT of books! (Thanks to my sweet librarian friends who helped me lift and tote!)

Henny will love the library, I think...though she seems a wee bit full of herself...always going on and on about how many eggs she can lay....

  11. Debbie,
Once again you came home with lots more books than I did. I don't know how you do it!
Ate at the bbq place also and loved it. We were there on biker night; luckily the rain kept them away.
