Impossible. I'm quite certain that, to paraphrase the amazing Garrison Keillor, "this is the Book Blogosphere, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and we are all above average readers!"
“In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you.” ― Mortimer J. Adler
Fun! I scored just a hair above average for an adult reader, the second time I took the test. The first time I totally failed the comprehension questions, with 1 right out of 3.
Okay, this was fun AND insulting! I read 8% slower than the national average but got all the questions right.

ReplyDeleteIt's tricky, trying to read a passage that has no context.
ReplyDeleteTry it a second time. That's probably a better indicator of your true reading speed.
ReplyDeleteI was 27% faster than the average. However I don't think that was a good test. I don't know. I don't feel like a fast reader at all...
ReplyDeleteNot sure that it is terribly accurate....it was apparently made by Staples.
ReplyDeletei read 12% faster than the national average apparently... This was an interesting test, regardless of its accuracy!
ReplyDeleteThis was fun. My results were:
ReplyDeleteYou read 449 words per minute.
That makes you 80% faster than the national average.
I always have to remind myself:
