At The Top Of My Summer TBR List

Two books.
Cloud Atlas.
East of Eden.

What are you hoping to read this summer?

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

  1. I really want to read Cloud Atlas as well! I want to watch the movie, it seems beautifully done but have to read the book before.

  2. I read Cloud Atlas earlier in the year. It was hard work, but really rewarding. Would definitely make a good summer read. Hope you enjoy reading it!

  6. East of Eden is wonderful - it was a unanimous smash with our book club.

I tried and gave up on Cloud Atlas but I'm getting ready to give it another go.

  7. I've never been sure if I want to read either of those books. I've heard great things about them, but for some reason, they don't appeal to me. I hope you enjoy them and look forward to reading your posts about them.

  10. East of Eden has been on my summer reading list for several years (I loved The Grapes of Wrath), but I may not get around to it this year as Under the Dome is my current summer read. What a chunkster! It doesn't help that I basically didn't read a single page all week long. I've been having too much fun enjoying the scenery in the Pacific Northwest!

  12. East of Eden is a great book. Not summery but I never read lighter books in the summer anyway. Looks like you don't either!

I just finished Shriver's new one, Big Brother. Very depressing. I am now reading The Slippage and I really want to begin Night Film.

  17. I just read Dead End in Norvelt by Jack Gantos and really enjoyed it, so I have 2 more Gantos books on my docket. I found Call the Midwife on the popular shelf at my library and plan to read it on my flight to Orlando. :)
