It's the Last Monday of the Year! What Are You Reading?!


                 
 
 
What I Finished Last Week

It's that time of year when I Almost-Read. What's Almost-Reading? you may ask. It's a game I play at the end of the year. I read and read and read a book, but I stop just before the last page. Silly, I know. But this way, on the first day of the year, I'll start out strong and finish three or four books.
 
Does anybody else do any Almost-Reading? I know, I know, it's wacky.

So here's what I've Almost-Read last week:

    Oh that's great! I love your idea. I've never thought to work the book stats like this, but I am always happy when I finish a book on the first of the month rather than the last day of the month because it does bump my monthly total up. Enjoy!

    The Pink Hotel looks interesting and fun! I don't know much about LA, maybe I should add this to my list.

    The Pink Hotel is a sort of a mystery, really. The main character is lost and strange and all the other characters are lost and strange. I liked it very much.

    Love the looks of Paris Letters.
    I could not just leave a book unfinished like that but it does make a great head start for challenges specially the nasty Goodreads one with its nasty "you are 5 books behind" comment.

    I'm sucking it up and reading The Girl that Played with Fire. I didn't love GWTDT but I bought all three and after a few years was feeling guilty. I'm actually finding it more interesting that the first, so far.
