I am hoping that my g-kids will carry on with the baking tradition.
Here are my favorite blog posts about the best things I've ever baked...
The Last Year I Decorated Christmas Cookies With My Mom
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.
Oh nice! This is definitely making me hungry for sweets now! Lol. I love to bake as well but never do anything too crazy. Just cookies recipes I find online that sound intriguing. I have made two bundt cakes that were pretty good too. I think one was just alright, in my opinion. Think I need to add more vanilla next time. Lol.

Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I’m tempted to link back to every recipe you mentioned. SO far, I looked at the biscuit post and it’s wonderful. I’m not much of a baker, but I really love to hear about it.
ReplyDeleteJust a yummy post here, Deb. All those items look so, so good. I used to bake a lot more, but I don't really anymore. Part of it is trying to keep with my weight loss journey. Honestly, the things that we used to eat all the time really can't 'live' in our house anymore. Ah well. My daughter is a champion cupcake baker and decorator.
ReplyDeleteIt isn't just that you love to bake, it's that you also bake things that present so beautifully. I love baking too but since I am watching sugar more than I used to, really haven't done much lately. That said, there are at least two or three recipes here I'm checking out to bookmark!
ReplyDeleteBaking is such a fun hobby!
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.
I’ll bet all of the food you bake is amazing. :)
ReplyDeleteI need you need to come bake for me. I’m hungry.

Lovely post. I like cooking and haven;t baked much but i do like being in the kitchen and creating.
ReplyDeleteI used to bake quite a bit when the kids were still at home. Since they are out and on their own, I rarely bake anymore. But, interestingly, when they come to visit, they will frequently bring something they have baked.
ReplyDeleteAwesome post! All your bakes look delicious 🤤 All those chocolate chip cookies in the photo make me want to have some immediately, lol. Same for the pies and I'm in quite the baking mood so maybe something for tomorrow after work 🤭
ReplyDeleteOh. Wow. You packed a lot of memoires into this post and so many yummy sounding recipes, too.
ReplyDeleteBaking is something I've done a lot of over the years, and always enjoyed doing. Sadly, in recent years it's started to feel like a chore and not something I enjoy doing.

I love that photo from when you and your mom decorated cookies together. I enjoy baking, but since I'm in charge of cooking dinner almost every single night, I'm not inspired to bake as well. I usually bake a bunch at Christmastime, and I make homemade granola for my husband every few weeks (I prefer the granola I buy at Costco). I make homemade Parker House rolls at Thanksgiving, and an occasional birthday cake. That's it! I'll bet your house smells wonderful with all those baked goods!
ReplyDeleteThis post is yummy. I've never baked anything except cake and cookies that come out of a box.
ReplyDeleteI am now super hungry for baked goods. I am not that great of a baker but I keep trying. Lol.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! You are an amazing baker! I always loved to bake, too. When we switched over our kitchen to gluten-free only, all my old favorite recipes didn't work as well anymore, plus by then it was just my husband and me, and neither of us needed the extra calories.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to be able to bake with your grandchildren. All three of our children can cook and bake. So far our oldest granddaughter has only helped my husband make pancakes, but she's only two and a half!
I like to cook and bake when I have someone to eat the stuff, but I don't really love to do either as much as I used to. Maybe that will flip again someday. Great post.
