What is the Sunday Salon?
The Sunday Salon is a place to link up and share what we have been doing during the week. It's also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.
Spring is Migration Celebration and Spring Fling and Open House at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge. I will be volunteering at all of these for my Texas Master Naturalist group in March and April.
My grandkids are off for Spring Break and I am visiting them all. We hope to go on some nature walks and read some books together and have some picnics.
What I Read Last Week:
The Astral Library by Kate Quinn (Speculative Fiction)
First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia Remembers by Loung Ung (Memoir)
What I'm Reading Now:
The Brothers Karamozov by Fyodor Dostoevsky (Classic)
Listening to Your Life: Daily Meditations by Frederick Buechner (Spirituality)
I began to list 3 Good Things every day during the pandemic. Now I've established a regular routine of writing down my 3 Good Things. Because I am off in East Texas with limited Internet, I shall share a few old Good Things from previous visits:

The Astral Library sounds fun. I don’t think I could bear to read, First They Killed My Father. What a wonderful three good things!

ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are having a great time with your family!
ReplyDeleteOh, that photo of the misty sun and trees is stunning! It looks like a painting! I'm glad you're having such a good time with all the grandkids, Deb. And I'm inspired to read The Astral Library having read your review on Goodreads. I wasn't sure it was for me, but I think I'll enjoy the literary references/jokes. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for Astral Library. Lookign forward to that one. I wn't link up this week as I only had some randomness to post. We also have Spring break here this week!
ReplyDeleteYou finished some fabulous books - Quinn's is on my holds list and I just borrowed Ung's book. Sounds like an educational book for this time. Your plans for Spring Break sound gentle. Certainly a good ambiance to bond even more. Thank you for sharing.
