The Stone Angel is a great novel, I've been wanting to re-read it.
ReplyDeleteThe cover of Speak is really interesting. I'm going to have to look that one up.
I've had "Speak" on my wishlist for ages... I really must get around to buying it!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read most of these, but I do agree that "Speak" would be a great book club read.
ReplyDeleteOoh, I've never read Brideshead Revisited...I've been loving Downton Abbey so another story about an English house might be perfect!

I've been hearing about Maus for a long time now. I should read that classic graphic novel. Great list, by the way!
ReplyDeleteI've only read Speak off of this list, but it definitely deserves its spot on here! Great list!

Maus is so great, but so tough. Fantastic addition to your list.
ReplyDeleteThis is Bookzilla, btw. Neither Blogger nor Blogspot are letting me comment while logged in. Thanks for stopping by my blog, and happy reading!
Those are some nice-looking non-fiction books, Deb! I have Maus and Brideshead Revisited but I haven't read them yet. Thanks for visiting my blog!
ReplyDeleteI've heard Maus is absolutely excellent. I've been wanting to give it a try since there has yet to be any type of graphic novel in my library. From what they've told me, I understand that the book's symbolism is amazing...
ReplyDeleteI certainly agree about Speak, lots to talk about there. I haven't heard about Material World, but the cover looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to quibble about Lonesome Dove. Unless your book group meets every two years...
