Or dogs. Maybe some people want to be dogs.

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

  1. I haven't heard of most of theses. I did see that there was a new Lemony Snicket coming out, that looks great. Good to see Jon Klassen being everywhere. Russell Hoban and Quentin Blake surely must be a great combination as you say. Enjoy your reads, I look forward to hearing more about all of them.

  5. That is a very interesting list. All of the titles are unfamiliar to me, but the covers are amazing! I'll wait for your reviews, to choose which ones of them to read myself.

  7. Seeing as how "ball" is my 20 month old son's favorite word right now, I think I'll have to look into that one. Great list!!

  11. Thank you for your list. I love children's books, but since my own children are grown I don't look at them often enough. Good list.

  14. You're adding more books to my tbr pile! Have you read Nikki McClure's Apple? I liked it but didn't love it. Exclamation Mark is already on my tbr list. Definitely adding America the Beautiful and Ball.

Since the Carnegie/Greenway Awward winners were announced yesterday, A Boy and a Bear in a Boat (Shelton), The Weight of Water (Crossman), and Lunchtime (Cobb) are all 2013 books I'm looking forward to reading. Plus Maggot Moon by Sally Gardner.

  17. I am totally into the Klassan/ Snicket pairing. I volunteer in the children's section at my local library, so I'll be sure to take that one home when I see it come in.

  19. I love Amy Krouse Rosenthal. Have you seen her YouTube channel? Very inspiring. I also love that all your books are children's books. I love reading those, but never find the time to actually do it, especially now that my daughter is growing up and wants to read her own stuff. *sigh*

Thanks for stopping by my blog! ;)

  21. I haven't heard of any of these, but I will definitely be looking into some of them! Especially that Lemony Snicket book. I just started looking at picture books last summer and, while I don't read nearly as many as I would like, I am really enjoying the experience! Thanks for adding to my TBR. ;)
