It's Monday! Whatcha Reading?

What I Read Last Week

I had a great week reading children's books:

The Nargun and the Stars                                    The Vile Village

The Coral Island                                           Wonder

Just one grownup book, but it was lovely and thoughtful,
especially for someone my age:

Calling Invisible Women

What I Got in the Mail Last Week

Snapper

This is Not a Book

Little Acorn Grows Up

Meet Me at the Cupcake Cafe

How about you?
What are you reading today?!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between!  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from! I love being a part of this and I hope you do too! As part of this weekly meme Book Journey loves to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme. Book Journey offers a weekly contest for those who visit 10 or more of the Monday Meme participants and leave a comment telling BJ how many you visited.

  1. My children love the Series of Unfortunate Events books and say they are very good, I've not read them myself though yet. I love the look of your Calling Invisible Women book and I'm going to look that one up. My friend has just finished Meet me at the Cupcake Cafe and said it was good and enjoyed it so I hope you do to.

  6. I would be happy to meet you at the Cupcake Cafe. What a lovely title. I'm not playing along today with What are you Reading meme, but I'm reading Reconstructing Amelia. It has been compared to Gone Girl, but I'm not feeling it so far.

  9. Hi there, I love how you laid out all these gorgeous books here. Lemony Snicket is an absolute favorite - and I've read all 13 books from the Series of Unfortunate Events. This is Not a Book also looks like my kind of read. Will look for that one. Have a great reading week ahead of you!

  10. I didn't know Keri Smith had a new book coming out! I'm starting to use my art journal more so I'm going to check this one out. Let me know what you think of Wonder. It's been on my shelves forever. Happy reading.

  11. I still haven't read a single Lemony Snicket book, though I love the premise. I think I'll get them for my boy when he's older and read them to him. :)

I have Wonder but haven't read it yet. I love the cover for Calling Invisible Women, very clever!

    Have a great week. :)

  20. Wasn't Wonder just "wonderful"? I have a special place in my heart for Auggie!

Looks like you had a great reading week with another good one coming up.

My fave for the week was One For the Murphys! I can't glorify it enough. :)

  21. A few years ago, my mom was talking about feeling invisible. When she went shopping with my sister, people always talked to my sister, even if my mom asked the question... etc.

fast forward to 2013 and I'm in my early fifties, and I'm feeling it also. the only time I feel like a man is checking me out is if it's a man older than I am now...like about 70 or 80. LOL. Ahhh, how life keeps us humble.

    Enjoy your reading this week
