:(( It always makes me sad when a tree is taken down, even when I know it's sick and won't live.
ReplyDeleteI onder if its rings tell its age?
ReplyDeleteThis tree was in the yard next door. A huge limb fell last winter, just scraping one storm window on our house.
ReplyDeleteAfter a long wait, our neighbor, the church, hired a team of people to cut it down.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the church paid the team of treecutters after they cut down the tree but before they hauled it off.
ReplyDeleteOld trees die too , cycle of life.
ReplyDeleteAlways sad to see a tree taken down, but it's necessary sometimes. I'm sure it had a good life!
ReplyDeleteFire logs "on the hoof" so to speak...
ReplyDeleteI love trees. I´m always sad, when a tree must die.
ReplyDeleteBest regards, Synnöve
It makes me sad...
ReplyDeleteit's always sad to see an old tree go. One feels it's loss through out the seasons...
ReplyDeleteYes, I feel sad.
ReplyDeletewow that's tree must have moment with u ...
ReplyDeleteSad. Is the tree infected with something? Why is it being taken down?
ReplyDeleteIt always makes me sad when a tree is taken down :(
ReplyDeleteI think the tree had some sort of infection. It is not a tree that is strong; it's the kind of tree that always loses limbs in a big storm.
ReplyDeleteAww I hate seeing trees being cut down :( It somehow feels kinda uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteby the way, I just started a book blog. Would you like to follow each other? Please let me know soon! xx

ReplyDeleteThe black crosses are very dramatic. I guess though it is just part of the circle of life.
ReplyDeleteIt is always sad to see an old tree go, but you are probably grateful too that it can't come crashing down on your house in the next storm too.
ReplyDeleteSo sad, but glad it didn't fall on anything. Great memorial to the tree.
ReplyDeleteI am still sad that my Elm trees died and had to come down when they got Dutch Elm disease. They were huge, old trees. The woodpeckers haven't forgiven me yet and that was a few years ago!
