  1. :(( It always makes me sad when a tree is taken down, even when I know it's sick and won't live.

  3. This tree was in the yard next door. A huge limb fell last winter, just scraping one storm window on our house.

  4. After a long wait, our neighbor, the church, hired a team of people to cut it down.

  5. Unfortunately, the church paid the team of treecutters after they cut down the tree but before they hauled it off.

  6. Always sad to see a tree taken down, but it's necessary sometimes. I'm sure it had a good life!

  11. Sad. Is the tree infected with something? Why is it being taken down?

  13. I think the tree had some sort of infection. It is not a tree that is strong; it's the kind of tree that always loses limbs in a big storm.

  24. The black crosses are very dramatic. I guess though it is just part of the circle of life.

  25. It is always sad to see an old tree go, but you are probably grateful too that it can't come crashing down on your house in the next storm too.

  26. So sad, but glad it didn't fall on anything. Great memorial to the tree.

  27. I am still sad that my Elm trees died and had to come down when they got Dutch Elm disease. They were huge, old trees. The woodpeckers haven't forgiven me yet and that was a few years ago!
