I painted a rock to remind me.
Look what is (naturally) on the back of the rock.
Looks like this rock has already been at play.
For thousands of years.
Play. With last year's rock. Where I can see it.
Play. And play.
Play. Play. And a rock from my Little Free Library. And a wine bottle I painted.
Play. It's all play.
Great word! I love the idea of playing more...and the rocks are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteThe rocks are great reminders.
DeleteHappy New Year! "We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." George Bernard Shaw
ReplyDeleteWe must not stop playing, then.
DeleteLove your word! Happy New Year to you and your family! OK, it's way too cold here in Central Texas. Ha! I'm back to blogging and invite you to come by and visit. My word for last year was 'breathe' - and I'm going to continue with that one for 2018. :-)
ReplyDeleteHere's to a playful year!
ReplyDeleteThat is so nice! I have a rock my mom painted for me when I went to boarding school. Still have it.
ReplyDeleteHope you will have a playful year!
I love your word so much! I hope you have a great year.
ReplyDeleteYes, now that's a great word!
ReplyDeleteGreat word! I like the rock as a reminder too. Come see my week here. Happy New Year and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteAwesome choice of word - and loving the tradition of painting a rock with it!
ReplyDeletePlay is a great book for the year! I chose persevere, which is a bit more serious, but I hope still a good one.
ReplyDeleteSuch a great word and life is short so we need to play all we can. Happy New Year.
ReplyDeleteGreat word for the year! I didn't do a post but I decided kind of last minute that mine is Act. I want to Act on all the ideas and schemes I come up with over the year instead of just leaving them in the one day list.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter and I have a pair of rocks we've been meaning to paint. Happy New Year. Come see what I'm reading.
ReplyDeleteLove your word for 2018! Your rocks and wine bottle looks like so much fun!
ReplyDeleteWonderful choice for your word! I'm still toying with mine, but I think it's "Smile" or "Laugh." Life shouldn't be so serious, so I'm aiming to lighten up a bit this year.
ReplyDeleteI agree.
DeleteThings in today's world are far too serious. We all need to play more.
