We should be on our way home from Arizona Saturday and Sunday. If all goes well....
I've been focusing on reading two books, a fiction book, These is My Words: The Diary of Sarah Agnes Prine, 1881-1901, Arizona Territories and a nonfiction book, Dreams of El Dorado: A History of the American West.
I published a few posts last week:
Hiking Arizona!
Good Thing #1: Rest and relax.
Good Thing #2: No hurricane worries.
Good Thing #3: Hiking.
I'm happy you found your way to the Sunday Salon. Sunday Salon is a place for us to link up and to share what we have been doing during the week. It's a great way to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.
Some of the things we often talk about at the Sunday Salon:
- What was your week like?
- Read any good books? Tell us about them.
- What other bookish things did you do?
- What else is going on in your life?
Other places where you may like to link up over the weekend are below. Click on the picture to visit the site.

Welcome home -- or soon! Safe travels.
ReplyDeleteMade it!
DeleteI am still clearing out all our books in the Atlanta house. My husband had so many books on the west – I hate to give them away, but there are so many. He has a collection of Lakeside Classics (published once a year.) One title is called Vanished Arizona by Martha Summerhayes – it is her recollection from the 1870s. That must be interesting.
ReplyDeleteSounds intriguing.
DeleteI hope you had a wonderful time in Arizona and were able to relax and rejuvenate. Getting away from it all sounds pretty good right now!
ReplyDeleteI think we took our trip just before things started heating up again.

ReplyDeleteHope you are also able to do so.
DeleteMan I can’t believe that span ad I noticed above about hacking into an ATM.. weird. I’ve had a weird week but I’m glad I had some chances to be creative. Glad you get to read some personal accounts. Getting perspective on life helps

DeleteHiking in Arizona sounds wonderful! The first month of school I was doing great about getting up and taking a walk before having to sit at my computer all day, but now it's dark and cold in the morning and I just can't get myself out the door.
ReplyDeleteWe, fortunately, had lovely weather in Arizona.
DeleteI hope you've had a wonderful time and have a safe trip back! Enjoy your week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jen.

ReplyDeleteI'm starting to miss walking outside. Cold and snow keep me indoors and walking on my treadmill is so boring that I can barely stand doing it for 15 minutes at a time. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
