I began to list 3 Good Things every day during the pandemic. Now I've established a regular routine of writing down my 3 Good Things. Here are 3 Good Things from last week:

I deleted Disqus this morning. I backed up my blog before I deleted it. But my comments may be gone. Still, I have always resisted blogging for money and I just could not put my posts out there with these ads attached.

ReplyDeleteSpring is definitely on the horizon here as attested by your sweet little violet. I think I will take up your "three good things" habit. I need to be able to focus on something other than the disheartening, depressing, discouraging news emanating every day from Washington/Mar-a-Lago.

ReplyDeleteI use a mental health app called Finch and one thing I do every morning is list something I'm grateful for and it has helped so much. I may have to up it to 3 things! I'm loving seeing signs of spring - though not looking forward to pollen season! Have a great week.

Nice to see spring in your yard! It's very exciting to us in the north that spring is on the way. It seems you had a good reading week ... the Brooks book looks sad but I will likely read it at some point.
ReplyDeleteHow We Learn to Be Brave: Decisive Moments in Life and Faith sounds like a good book. I really like the idea of Mindfulness March! It’s the perfect reason to pull out my knitting. The birthday party looks fun.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for spring, i'm sick of winter. My crocuses got confused and came a little early but then the rabbits ate them so we couldnt even enjoy them before the next cold snap moved in. they also ate a mini rose bush, the little devils.

ReplyDeleteHappy March! I am going to try your mindfulness chart - sounds like a wonderful idea. We have tiny shoots of tulip stalks poking out of the dirt. Spring with be a-springing, soon.

ReplyDeleteLove in a Cold Climate is good - their real life is so much more crazier than anything in the books. Their father used to 'hunt' them - literally chase them around with a gun for a fun game. So bananas.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to reading The Heaven and Earth Grocery Store. I have a print copy on my TBR, but considered listening to the audio from my library--then remembered it will be a book club read later in the year, so will try to wait closer to then to read it. I am glad you had a good time at your friend's birthday celebration. And what a beautiful butterfly! We have a busy week ahead. Mouse has two band concerts and a voice lesson and there's work, of course. I hope you have a good week and take care!
