What is the Sunday Salon?

The Sunday Salon is a place to link up and share what we have been doing during the week. It's also a great opportunity to visit other blogs and join in the conversations going on there.

Some of those who gathered
 last week to celebrate
the sixth birthday of grandson Wyatt

and the visit of son Ben and his wife Lisa from Chicago
(center back).

A wonderful time was had by all.
Especially me.

What I Posted Last Week Here at Readerbuzz:

Books on My Spring 2025 to-Read List

I began to list 3 Good Things every day during the pandemic. Now I've established a regular routine of writing down my 3 Good Things. Here are 3 Good Things from last week:

Good Thing #1:

Laminated four-leaf clovers
from a friend.

Good Thing #2:

Sadly, I missed the library sale at
the public library in Galveston
last weekend,
but I was delighted to discover
that all the leftover books were free
this week.
I brought home four boxes of books.

Good Thing #3:

Paris in springtime?
I wouldn't miss it!
are hosting another film watching event for springtime.
It is six weeks, six movies, and very easy going!
If you want to watch one or all or a few,
they would love to have you join in.
Just watch along and comment on their posts
or post your own thoughts and link up!

Weekend linkup spots are listed below. Click on the picture to visit the site.

I hope you will join the linkup for Sunday Salon below.

  1. Four leaf clovers are so neat… my sister can just look at a patch of grass and she’ll see one and pick it. My daughter is the same. But I can stare all day and never see one. Very odd.
Your good things are very good.
Have a great week, and thanks for hosting…. mae at maefood.blogspot.com

  2. Deb, you will never run out of books! Ha! Glad you got to help them out by taking away 4 boxes of books. Having helped with library book sales I know that finishing things out like this is quite important - nice they gave away the leftovers. Beautiful picture of your family. Have a good week!

  3. Free books! I guess sometimes missing the original event works out well. I loved Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy! I think I will add On the Hippie Trail to my TBR list.

  6. Free books?! I don't know if I'd be able to control myself and my TBR shelf does not need more boosk on it. Haev a great week!

  7. Oh I love the 4 leaf clovers. I've never found one but I have hope. Yay for free books. Always good and I'm sure it made missing the library sale much easier to deal with. Have a great week!

  10. I can see the joy on everyone's faces! I'm so glad your family was able to gather together.

I used to work with a lady who could just glance at lawn and find a four-leaf clover. She said her dad was the same way. I may have found one or two in my life? But it seems like I would have strong memories of that so maybe I've never found any.

  11. Rick Steves has been putting some great things on social media. This seems like a good time to read his memoir.

  19. I love your three things idea so much, I cogged it again for my post https://jhohadli.com/2025/03/23/its-sunday-again-230325 Some years ago I started journaling "what's good" irregularly and it's a similar kind of focus on the positive kind of experiment...that sometimes works (lol).

  28. Deb!! Thank you for mentioning our link up! That's so awesome of you. We love having people watch along even if they can't get to all the movies. It's just impossible to do everything that's available to do out there! The four leaf clovers are so cool. And as for the books??? SCORE! Whoot! Hahaha! That's awesome.

  29. That's a great idea to give the books away after the library sale! We used to pay to have the leftover books taken away for donation, but an extra day or two offering them free would cut down on the expense. Love the family photo - happy birthday to Wyatt!
