Eleven Favorite Love Stories in Books
Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together. Each Tuesday That Artsy Reader Girl assigns a topic and then post her top ten list that fits that topic. You’re more than welcome to join her and create your own top ten (or 2, 5, 20, etc.) list as well. Feel free to put a unique spin on the topic to make it work for you! Please link back to That Artsy Reader Girl in your own post so that others know where to find more information.

What a fun angle on the prompt.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw this, I had to laugh! :) Love Stories for People Who Gag on Romance Novels
Even as a child I loved TV shows such as Flipper (the dolphin), Lassie, (the Collie) and others that starred an animal. I still do!
Great list, thank you so much for sharing!
There are some people who just can't take romance novels. lol
DeleteGreat topic, Deb. I also love dogs and dog books. I've read all of these except The Ann M Martin and Sharon Creech books, and enjoyed the ones I've read. I will have to check those two out.
ReplyDeleteLove the dog theme for your post theme this week.
ReplyDeleteAwww, what a fun topic! I love MARLEY & ME, both the book and the movie.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I loved "Lad, A Dog." I hope I can turn Carson on to that book next year but not sure of the grade level.
ReplyDeleteThat's a new one to me. I'm looking it up now.
DeleteIt looks like the original book is seventh grade reading level. Maybe it would be a great read aloud. There are some sequels---I wonder if they are by the original author---that are third grade reading level. I just use these for guidelines.
DeleteGreat spin on the topic! I think I haven't read any of these, not even Marley and Me.

ReplyDeleteNice. A list that any dog lover can appreciate.
ReplyDeleteI've read a few of these! One of my favorite books when I was a kid was My Life In Dog Years by Gary Paulsen.
ReplyDeleteAnimal stories are their own special category, much loved.
