  2. Oh wow...this looks like my kind of place. Small and simple. Large libraries definitely have their place, Deb, but I favor places like this. Very inviting.

Thanks for sharing this, and for stopping by my blog, too! Have a wonderful day!

  3. This library is way, way out in the middle of nowhere, in far west Texas. You need libraries out there, I think.

  4. This library was...well, the only word I can think of is hospitable. Friendly. Helpful without being overly intrusive.

  5. Ondered why you called it second best and at the end I see why. Reminds me of our local comunity one.

  6. The sign is what I saw first. Intriguing, I thought. What do they base that on? I wondered. Apparently it is an annual award for best, second best, and third best big and small libraries.

  8. Wonderful! It looks very inviting and cozy. I always carry a book with me everywhere, a real old fashioned paper book.

  9. Ah Great little library. Yesterday my boys and I spent time at the library for "story time". Always a great time and educational too!

  10. It's not my public library, but I feel as proud of it as if it were my own. I saw it when I visited in Alpine last summer.

  11. One of our city branches looks as small as this one, but not nearly as beautiful!

  12. Love, love, LOVE libraries! Spent many a day in them when I was a youngster, not so much anymore...hmmm, maybe I need to visit again!

  13. One of the first things I always do when I visit a place is go to its public library!

  14. It does look wonderful, and friendly. I still haven't got over being asked to move on at the Houston Public Library. I like the metal work in the outside area-what is the big shape though? I can see books and cactus.

  15. Louise, have I forgotten the story about being asked to move on at the Houston Public Library? I need to hear it again, I think.

  16. I'm not sure about the metal work in the outside area....wish I knew more.

  17. What a coincidence and contrast! I've posted about a library too on my Sat. Snapshot post today. Anyway, your lovely little library looks so cozy. Just like to snuggle in there among the books. ;)

  23. Oh, oh! Is that water in the library? I'm hoping that part is outside in a reading area in the shade. Guess i'd better figure out the winner of this contest! Whose #1?

  25. Yes, I should have probably explained that the water is from recently watered plants in the outdoor area.
