I've never seen the bible open at a motel and most look like they have never been touched. I'm glad to see someone got some use out of this and hopefully this passage touched them in some way.
I think that was a beautiful welcome from the housekeeping staff or the hotel owners ... very spooky about the news of your brother coming right after this 'gift' of Scripture.
Someone was doing a little light reading before bed, huh ;)
ReplyDeleteAh-ha! What a reassuring thing to read before bed!
ReplyDeleteHummm. Was someone sending you a message?
ReplyDeleteThis was on our drive home to Texas from Chicago last summer.
ReplyDeleteThe next day after our stay here I got a call telling me my brother had had a heart attack.
ReplyDeleteLots of words there
ReplyDeleteAs a kid, the first thing I would do upon entering a new hotel room was find the Bible. Still do sometimes. :)

ReplyDeleteYes, my brother is now doing well. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteA nice welcome. Hope you had a good trip, in spite of the news about your brother.
ReplyDeleteWow...was it open like that when you got into the room?
ReplyDeleteYes, just like that.
ReplyDeleteEerie. I wouldn't be able to stop thinking that someone was sending me a message... about something.
