  1. Love #1, it'll be difficult for me to part with books, but I like the idea. :)

  2. Once I couldn't part with my books, but now it is not a problem....I love to give away books and I rarely keep any.

  8. Reading the 1001 Children's books sounds like lots of fun with lots of nostalgic moments when you come across and reread your childhood favourites!

  19. I've gone on several book pilgrimages, myself. I recommend visiting Portland, OR to see Powell's Books; visting Haworth England to see the Bronte home; Hartford, Connecticut where you can skip Mark Twain's home in favor of Harriet Beecher Stowe's which is much better; Hannibal, MO to see the boyhood home of Mark Twain who really did live across the street from "Becky Thatcher" and Victor Hugo's Paris apartment.

  20. I need to do a blog post soon on book pilgrimages. Thanks for your suggestions. I just received a book about taking these. Hope I can visit some of these sites before...well, before it's my time.
