It's Monday!

What I Finished Last Week

Two bleak novels that have left me longing for a jolly good funny story. Suggestions?

We listened to Mister Monday on audio last week during our trip to and from TLA.

It's easy to read a lot of books when you are at a librarian's conference.
Look at all these short books I finished last week, too.

This should be a busy book week.
Wednesday is World Book Night!
Saturday is Dewey's 24-Hour-Readathon!

What are you reading today?!

It’s Monday! What Are You Reading? is where we share what we read this past week, what we hope to read this week…. and anything in between.  This is a great way to plan out your reading week and see what others are currently reading as well… you never know where that next “must read” book will come from. I love being a part of this and I hope you do too. As part of this weekly meme Book Journey loves to encourage you all to go and visit the others participating in this meme.

  1. I've got Garth Nix's Key's to the Kingdom series to read. I really enjoyed the Abhorsen series, he's a great Aussie author :)
Have a great week and happy reading!

  5. Have you read Gail Carriger? She always makes me laugh. I don't know how you manage to read at conferences. I just add to my stack when I attend one. Come see what I read last week. Happy reading!

  7. I've not read The House of Mirth before but I have read Ethan Frome by Edith Wharton. It does sound bleak but I hope it was a good read for you! :)

Thank you for visiting my blog.

  9. All new titles to me, except for Katherine Schwarzenegger's book, that I saw her talk about on the Today Show. I probably would not pick it up for myself, but maybe for my young granddaughters. Enjoy your busy week ahead.

  13. Your son would definitely like Mister Monday, Shelley. All you need to do is stop by my Little Library here in Texas....I have the book and the audio cds out, waiting for a new reader/listener.

  17. All of us in our book club read different Edith Wharton books. But all the stories were bleak.

  22. I'm jealous of your Mister Monday road trip. I'm going to listen to By the River tomorrow on a trip to the blue mountains. You do have a big week lined up! I so want to do a Deweys Readathon one time- the timing is difficult down under though- and of course I'm working all weekend. You gave up tv 11 years ago! Wow, no wonder you get so much reading done. I don't watch all that much tv, but I don't want to give it up.

  23. I'm not obsessive about not watching tv....I watch movies and I do watch series on occasion.
