My Summer TBR
(That's right. It's not a boo-boo. It's nothing. No TBR. I'm not setting any goals.
I'm not picking any big classic books that I'm going to force myself to read. Nothing. Nada.
Go where my spontaneous reading self leads me this big open glorious summer.)
Are you planning a big reading summer? Any recommendations that I might try?
Spontaneously, of course.
Spontaneously, of course.
Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.
I like it that you're giving yourself freedom to read whatever you want this summer! Yay!
ReplyDeleteSpontaneous reading is sometimes the best sort of reading!
ReplyDeleteOh hey - that is a grand idea. Just read whatever the hell you awnt!
ReplyDeleteThat is my plan. (Or my un-plan.)
ReplyDeleteI always feel happier when I read spontaneously.
ReplyDeleteWhat?! No plan?! :-) I love this! I have huge reading plans for summer though I haven't started yet.
ReplyDeleteI feel so free!
ReplyDeleteHa! I am the complete opposite this summer. Usually I just follow my whims, but I am actually going to try and stick to a list this year. Enjoy that freewheelin', readin' life!
ReplyDeleteGood for you. Let's compare notes at the end of the summer!
ReplyDeleteEpic plan! Seriously I always try to plan out my reading but by the time I get to my list I don't feel like reading it anymore and so I pick something else up and then the whole structure just crumbles.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by The Story Goes...
I wiped out my TBR pile not so long ago and read the George R.R. Martin books, just to rejuvenate my reading mojo! I think sometimes, having no plan at all, is the best plan.
ReplyDeleteHaha, I really love your idea. Its always great knowing that you don't have to read something just because you planned to read it. A few weeks ago, I had a TBR list and then I ended up not following it because I wasn't in the mood for that particular book
ReplyDeleteSeriously, Nobody, you need to be reading Nothing.
ReplyDeleteI like that photo; reminds me of the desert where I'm visiting folks now. Enjoy your spontaneous summer reading!

Now THAT is a plan :)
ReplyDeleteI love that!!! :) It's true.. I often make the lists but never actually stick to it.. I rarely know which book I feel like reading next until I'm done the current one to see what mood I'm in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT!

I've (finally) learned that this is the best way for me to read. When I finish a book, I walk around the house and look on my shelves for the next book. I like the idea of lists, but not the fact of them. :<)
